About us

Founded in 1990, South County Habitat for Humanity (SCHH) has been dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide. SCHH serves all towns in Washington County, Rhode Island.

Mission

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, community and hope.

Vision

A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

All Are Welcome

Habitat for Humanity and its affiliate organizations will not proselytize. Nor will Habitat work with entities or individuals who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with Habitat. This means that Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must adhere to or convert to a particular faith or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.

We are currently building a single-family two-story home on Mooresfield Road in South Kingstown. The home is framed and has doors and windows. Next up is the roof and siding!

In the Fall we will begin construction on 3
single-family homes in Hopkinton.

Each of these homes has homebuyers in the program completing their required sweat equity hours.
These
