

Working in partnership with local people in need
South County Habitat for Humanity was established in 1990 to address the issues
of homelessness and the lack of affordable housing in our communities. Since
then, we have built or renovated 42 homes in partnership with low-income families and
individuals, and we have involved thousands of South County residents in this
effort.
As
a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, we accomplish our
goals through the efforts and donations of supporters throughout Washington
County. Although we have small staff, most of our work is accomplished by
volunteers at the work sites, on committees, in the office, and wherever else
they are needed. This is truly a community effort!
This
web site is designed to acquaint you with our organization, help you get
involved, and educate you about the pressing need for affordable housing in
South County. Please use the links to the various sections to learn more and
get in touch with us to help. You can volunteer your time at a building site or
on a committee, make a donation, find out how to
become a homeowner, or just learn enough to help spread the word that
