WELCOME TO HABITAT!

Working in partnership with local people in need

South County Habitat for Humanity was established in 1990 to address the issues of homelessness and the lack of affordable housing in our communities. Since then, we have built or renovated 42 homes in partnership with low-income families and individuals, and we have involved thousands of South County residents in this effort.

As a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, we accomplish our goals through the efforts and donations of supporters throughout Washington County. Although we have small staff, most of our work is accomplished by volunteers at the work sites, on committees, in the office, and wherever else they are needed. This is truly a community effort!

This web site is designed to acquaint you with our organization, help you get involved, and educate you about the pressing need for affordable housing in South County. Please use the links to the various sections to learn more and get in touch with us to help. You can volunteer your time at a building site or on a committee, make a donation, find out how to become a homeowner, or just learn enough to help spread the word that affordable housing for every family in South County is a possibility.

Thank you for taking the time to visit us. We look forward to hearing from you!
